My Indiana license

I live in Florida, so Indiana licenses me as a non-resident, and the Indiana record says so: Non-Res Producer. It has one line, accident and health.

Look me up yourself

  1. Go to the state's search

Open the Sircon consumer inquiry, which Indiana uses for its licensing records, and choose Indiana.

  2. Search for me

Choose an individual and search Pond, Jeannie, or my NPN, 8940178.

  3. Check what it says

Check license 4017600, its accident and health line, and that it shows as active.

Medigap in Indiana

Your Medigap Open Enrollment Period lasts six months and starts the first month you have Medicare Part B and you're 65 or older. During it you can buy any Medigap policy sold in your state, and the insurance company can't deny you coverage because of pre-existing health problems. It doesn't repeat every year.

Those are your federal rights. Your state can add more chances to buy a Medigap policy under state law, including before 65, so it pays to ask. In Indiana, the SHIP program is part of the Department of Insurance, so one call to 1-800-452-4800 reaches people who know the state's rules.
