Areas I serve

In Auburndale, your Medicare plan has to work in two directions.

Lakeland Regional to the west, Winter Haven Hospital to the east. We'll check each plan against the doctors and pharmacy you actually use, sitting down by appointment or over the phone or Google Meet. I'm Jeannie Pond, licensed since 2009, next door in Lakeland.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 14 organizations which offer 52 products in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.

Want a Medicare agent for Auburndale? I'm Jeannie Pond, NPN 8940178, based in Lakeland, and I work with people in Auburndale in person by appointment or by phone or Google Meet. Auburndale has no hospital of its own on CMS's list, so whether you lean toward Lakeland Regional or Winter Haven Hospital decides which networks matter. Social Security's locator shows Winter Haven's office closest, and the Senior Connection Center serves all of Polk.

Auburndale sits right between Lakeland and Winter Haven, which means doctors and hospitals on both sides. I'm Jeannie Pond, a Medicare agent from Lakeland, licensed since 2009. In person by appointment, or by phone or Google Meet, we'll compare plans against the ones you actually see, and the pharmacy you actually use.

Two directions to check, and your drug list first

  • Two hospitals, two directions

CMS Care Compare lists no hospital in Auburndale itself. Lakeland Regional Medical Center to the west and Winter Haven Hospital to the east are the closest on its list, so we check whichever one you'd use, or both, in each plan's directory.

  • Closest Social Security is in Winter Haven

For ZIP 33823, Social Security's locator lists Lakeland's office first, 12.3 miles away, but the nearest it shows is Winter Haven on Havendale Boulevard, 4.9 miles. Either one works; so does a my Social Security account online.

  • Your drug list comes first

Each drug plan has its own list of covered drugs, called a formulary, and plans decide which pharmacies they cover, according to Medicare.gov. Have your prescriptions and doses handy, plus the pharmacy you like, and I'll check each plan against them before we talk about anything else.

  • One Area Agency on Aging for Polk

The Senior Connection Center is the Area Agency on Aging for Polk, Hillsborough, Manatee, Highlands and Hardee counties. SHINE, Florida's Medicare help line, is offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and your local Area Agency on Aging, which in Auburndale means the Senior Connection Center.
